True stories of decisions, uncertainty and change, born out of the ocean experience

When I write or recount my 10 years of ocean sailing, I realize that I am actually talking about more than that.

The story of a small sailboat crossing an immense ocean is also the story of people and organizations that must move through uncertain contexts. We talk about fear of the unknown, decisions to be made without all the information, and constant adaptation to changing conditions.

At sea you prepare as best you can, you plan, you hope. But there always comes a time when you have to choose and take responsibility for your decisions, knowing that not everything is under control.

We live in an age of constant change that requires lucidity, flexibility and the ability to make decisions quickly. A bit like the sea.

The sea has taught me many lessons. Perhaps the most important one is this: to distinguish what we can control from what we must accept, without ceasing to act.

Today I transform this experience into inspirational talks that help people look at change and decisions with more clarity, less fear and more flexibility.

THE TOPICS

My talks address concrete issues through real stories:

  • change as the only constant

  • Making decisions without having all the information

  • Managing uncertainty without getting stuck

  • To adapt when the context suddenly changes

  • Taking responsibility for their own choices

  • When it is better to stop insisting and better to change course

  • Cooperate with what cannot be forced

I do not bring abstract models.
I bring lived experience.

WHY THE OCEAN

At sea, there are no manuals with all the solutions.
There are so many decisions to be made and there is not always only one right one.

The ocean is an environment that amplifies everything:

  • errors

  • insecurity

  • rigidity

  • willpower
  • But also presence, listening and adaptability

This is why it becomes a powerful-and concrete-metaphor for those working in complex contexts.

WHO ARE THESE TALKS FOR

My speeches are suitable for:

  • companies and management teams

  • corporate events and conferences

  • leadership meetings

  • contexts that are undergoing change

Each talk is adapted to the audience and context while maintaining the same core of content and authenticity.

FORMAT

  • flexible duration (45-90 minutes)

  • talk with pictures and stories

  • space for questions and dialogue

  • possibility of thematic customization

Available in Italian, Slovenian or English.

ABOUT ME

I am Jasna Tuta, sailor, author and speaker.

At 29, I left my job as a school teacher and began chasing the horizon.

I have lived over ten years of life at sea, sailing the ocean and living aboard a little sailing boat.

Since 2016, I have held more than 80 meetings in settings ranging from sailing clubs and schools to theaters and corporate events.

I do not talk about change because it is fashionable, but because I have experienced it.
